Porn is not about sex, it’s about sexualized power. Porn, a few outliers notwithstanding, is about men fucking women into submission, often violently. If it weren’t, there’d be no choking, no puking, no bukkake, no gang bangs, no double (or quadruple) penetration, no ATM, no slapping, no name-calling, no images of multiple men high-fiving each other while they use and abuse one woman’s body, no porn copy containing phrases like “until she cries” or “watch this little whore get ____” or “Interchangeable Female Body vs. Fearsome Violent Penis.” The porn industry, if it were just all about sex rather than about sexualized hate, wouldn’t be in a race to the bottom with itself to create ever more absurd configurations of bodies, the sole aim of which seems to be to subject women to the most heinous abuse possible.

Don’t bother telling me that the porn you watch isn’t quite that gnarly. Check out the behavior of the men in comparison to that of the women, look at the positions of the bodies, think about the camera angle, listen to what is being said, think about whose pleasure seems paramount, then come back and tell me the porn you watch isn’t just as much (if not more) about dominance and submission as it is about sex.

Jennifer Lawrence Nude Photo Leak Isn't A "Scandal." It's A Sex Crime.

The theft via cell phone hacking of countless nude photos, real or doctored, of various female celebrities is not a “scandal” to be mocked and teased about as if it were a public wardrobe malfunction or a gaffe. It should not be treated with quippy sub-headlines like “What Would Katniss do?” It is a crime that has turned the entire online community into potential peeping Toms with little-to-no accountability for the consumers of said stolen property/invasion of privacy. This is clearly a violation. It is a crime of theft with the intent to exploit its victims as punishment for the unpardonable sin of being female. A woman, be she in the public eye or a private citizen, has a right and privilege to take photos of herself for whatever reason she chooses.  A woman, be she a celebrity or a regular citizen, has the right to store them in the same manner as her male peers without the presumption that they will be stolen by an act of cyber hackery. And if said photos exist and said photos are stolen, the shame of that act should be, nay must be, wholly on the perpetrator of said crime.

Anonymous said: Listen it's great that you're a vegan but don't try and guilt people into being vegan like you. It's very hard to be a vegan and be healthy, you need a lot of supplements and a lot of variety in your diet, which is very expensive, to get all the nutrients you need. So don't fucking try to guilt people into being vegan. Besides a cow is a fucking animal. They're raised to be killed and eaten. Get over it.

I think it’s funny when people anonymously rant in someone’s tumblr mail, then say “get over it” about something

clearly you can’t get over it, and if you’re not going to open up your mind (or even just use your brain), then that’s your problem, not mine

and honestly you’re really showing your ignorance by saying it’s “very hard” — allll those things you listed are not true. You DON’T need supplements, nor even a lot of variety in your diet. And even if you WANTED to use supplements, they’re NOT expensive by anyone’s standards. And even if they WERE, a vegan diet would STILL be cheaper than your normal diet because meat is so expensive.

I’m not trying to guilt anyone into becoming vegan, if you felt guilty, that’s because you know your practices and beliefs are incongruent with your morals, and you’re bumping into your cognitive dissonance. Evaluate this, don’t shoot the messenger.

And a cow IS raised to be murdered, that’s true. They live in awful conditions they’re entire lives, and die horribly, often extremely painfully. Isn’t that sad? How can someone just GET OVER the death of someone, let alone so many creatures dying?

And incidentally — don’t tell people what to do and how to live and run their blogs on anon, it reallllly doesn’t come across very convincingly.
